Saturn in the houses
Saturn in each of the twelve houses of a birth chart: how each placement can show up in everyday life, and the astrology behind it.
Saturn stands for responsibility, limits and the maturity that comes with time: the lessons that take time and the structures you build to hold things together.
Its house points to where you may feel tested or held to a high standard, and where steady effort matters most.

- Saturn in the 3rd house
You tend to choose your words carefully and don't like speaking off the cuff.
- Saturn in the 4th house
Home and family may bring as much duty as comfort.
- Saturn in the 5th house
Joy and creativity may not feel like something you can just allow yourself.
- Saturn in the 6th house
You tend to take work and daily duties very seriously.

What the houses are
A birth chart is divided into twelve houses, each linked with an area of life: money, home, partnership, work and so on. A planet in a house brings its themes into that area.
Houses depend on the exact time and place of birth. As the Earth turns, every planet passes through all twelve houses in about a day, so without a birth time the houses can't be placed reliably.
Your birth chart shows which house each of your planets is in and how they work together. The reading on Sky & Story is free; for houses, you'll need your birth time.
